Diet Commandment #2 Eat Regularly
Often when people go on a diet they start eating less regularly. Which is the wrong approach because they let themselves get too hungry. And we both know what happens later…it often leads to a binge eating episode that is your body trying to fight the hunger!
Then you feel bad because you’ve gone off your diet yet again. But the problem is caused by not eating regularly. Eating regularly will definitely help keep your hunger at bay.
And by feeding your body frequently throughout the day, you’ll help avoid food cravings and energy lows, making it that much easier to stick to your diet program.
Diet Commandment #3 Eat More Protein
Protein is one of the key components of any diet plan and essential for fat loss and maintaining your muscle. Protein helps combat hunger, helps stabilize your blood glucose levels, and also helps prevent lean muscle mass loss.
Protein will help speed up your metabolism and accelerate your fat loss. Make sure you have some protein in each meal and snack you eat.
Diet Commandment #4 Prioritize Fresh Foods
Whenever possible, aim to eat fresh food that is organic and unprocessed. Many processed foods have additives or preservatives. They are also loaded with sodium and even sometimes sugar. These are hidden factors that can cause you to still feel hungry and to not lose weight.
If you can eliminate processed foods and prioritize fresh foods you will feel healthy and your body will thank you!

Diet Commandment #5 Set Short-Term Goals
Setting goals is something that sets successful people apart from others. And setting short term goals is essential for success when starting a new habit. Otherwise it’s easy to get caught in the feeling that you are not making progress and give up in frustration.

With your diet, it’s important to set a short term goal. And this is best when it’s not just about “losing __ number of pounds.” That is an outcome goal. Instead you want to have a process goal which is the steps you will take to achieve your weight loss goal. For example, to have an eating plan outlined with what you will eat.
